CSW Forum 2025: Are men allies?
This year we contributed to the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) Forum, considering how men can be allies in standing against domestic abuse.
Hosted by the Christian Network to End Domestic Abuse (CNEDA) and Baptist World Alliance Women.
The majority of victims and survivors of domestic violence are women. This means that often, it’s thought of as a “women’s issue” – but that’s not the case. Violence against women and girls is an issue that should grieve all of us, and in fact, it’s only by changing the attitudes and behaviours of men that we’ll make progress to end it.
In this year’s CSW parallel event, we heard about some brilliant initiatives from men and women across the world who are working to prevent domestic abuse and engage men in the conversation.
